Hi everyone,
Today was are 3 days in Costa Rica, and we began our day after breakfast going to Monteverde School and participated in their Meeting For Worship, which was longer than ours but very interesting. Lots of people spoke and at the end, people were invited to hold anyone in the light that they wanted to. There was also another school visiting, and we played soccer, basketball and gaga ball with the kids after meeting. After we left the school, we went to a dairy farm owned by our tour guide Sarah. We planted 27 trees to help reduce our carbon footprint. It was hard work but rewarding. After that, we went to Monteverde cloud forest, where we met our guide Carlos, who was amazing! We actually saw a quetzal which was so beautiful, a variety of other birds, and a poisonous snake. The forest was so green and misty and we finished by walking to a waterfall.
We ended the day by having dinner at a really nice restaurant that had the most amazing sunset in all of Monteverde. Tomorrow we head to our sister school Turin, then off to zip lining!
Buenos Noches,
Jackie
